Redesgn badly needed

Compass needs to moved to bottom right. Hawaiian Islands & Alaska need to moved moved to the left (West Coast) not below Florida. Think of the Children ! Menu button needs to moved to center upper middle, next to the State & Capital buttons. Red X button needs to moved to the upper left corner Black rectangle with USA can be removed or placed lower right. A 20% increase of the United States is also needed, some East coast States are so small they’re hard to apply the cursor on. The cursor needs to have more control, it floats around and is hyper sensitive to any movement. For a free app. it’s nice, just be sure to inform your children that Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands are NOT located below Florida.

50 States and Capitals

This is a great learning tool to learn the locations of states and to sharpen your memory as well learning state capitals. This deserves 5 STAR rating.

Perfect !!!!!!!!

congratulation !!!! it is perfect for learning the states

US Geography App that is fun and interactive!

We are from Canada and our homeschool enjoyed this App because it is fun and interactive and cuts the learning down in half. Memorizing the US states and capitals are much easier because of the visuals. There is a built in game to name all the states or capitals. Love how this does exactly what we were looking for. User friendly and very encouraging. Highly recommend this over a textbook or a traditional paper map/globe!

Great practice for young or old

Im 43 and failed social studies more times than I can remember, but there are a few things Id like to commit to memory and one of them is at least where all of the 50 states are located. If youre younger and learning this stuff for class then this is a must. Its fun and easy. The flags are rendered nicely and the print is big and easy to read (in the pre-game study mode). I think most of us know where most of the bigger and more popular states are, but there are always those that are tougher to remember or easy to confuse. The capitols are going to be my biggest challenge, though. Again, easy to operate and fun to practice.

Screen size issues

The application worked well on my desktop machine. But when I loaded it on my 15" retina display, the top of the screen gets cut off and the "menu", "state and "capital" buttons are not accessible. Also, the pointer wont go down far enough to click on Hawaii.

50 States and Capitals

I had a great time playing this game!

Excellent!

I was embarrassed at how few states I could place correctly. However, after "playing" a few times I got much better. Love this!

Great memorization tool

Great way for kids to memorize geographical facts/spatial relations. Nice colorful format.

State Capitals

This is a great app to learn the state capitals.

Nice and useful!

It is a great app, it really helps.

states and capts.

great for the kids to learn the country.

Really Nice

Does exactly what i was looking for. Would be really nice if they would add other countries/continents in the future.

easy way to learn

simple and easy to refresh your memory for the places you may not remember

good teaching tool

Great for parents and grandparents sitting with the children and grandchildren and teaching them a little geography of the U.S. Make it fun and ask the kids what they know about a particular state or what its famous for.

it helps

this app helped me study for my states test ~Anna

good tool

I liked it, even with the names up the whole time to locate places at first. I use it on the smart board as a challenge.

United States map

I got this for my 10 year old grandson but didnt realize it is for a younger child. I wish the names of the states were not on there and he would have to point at the state they are requesting, that would be more for his age. Once you can read, it is too easy.

Great app!

Easy way to learn states and capitols in short time.

dw

I had no idea I was clueless on so many of the state capitals! This is going to help me use my brains that I seem to have left at the door when I graduated high school! I enjoyed it!
